Watermelon Goat Cheese Salad

It’s finally watermelon season. yayyy! I know it actually has been for some time now, but better late than never, right?

Anyways, I was craving watermelons yesterday and I thought, what better way to enjoy it, than in a savoury salad? I’ve always sprinkled black salt over my watermelon growing up, which, fyi, is the Pakistani way of eating it.


Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it anywhere in the kitchen, so I opted for black pepper and goat cheese (for some additional saltiness) instead, which I ended up liking even more than the good old black salt version. Add some wild arugula and pumpernickel croutons to that and voilĂ : A fresh and hearty spring salad, you ought to try!
